Dentistry in Serbia

Ana Pejovic is a Dentist from Serbia who has limited opportunity to pursue higher education in her country.Ana Pejovic wants to pursue higher education in United States and is helping Dental Surgery to understand Dentistry/Dental Education and Dental Patient Outsourcing in Serbia.

Faculty of Stomatology is one of the oldest faculties at Balkan.Today we celebrate 60th birthday!!!!

Professors require that students work every day(sometimes I feel like employment).Every day we had lessons and labs or practical work.
We have 42 exams which don't past as students in USA or Europe,partial,no,we have test,practical work and conversation,and you need 100% for every of it.
I think thats to complicate and to hard.
Exams which I past are:FIRST YEAR- Medical Ethic, Biology, Chemistry, Sociology, Biochemistry, Physics, Informatics, Anatomy,
SECOND YEAR- Dental materials, Histology, Physiology, Microbiology, English language, Gnathology, Social Medicine,
THIRD YEAR- Pathology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Oral Pathology, Dermatovenerology, Prosthodontics-pretclinics, Restorative Dentistry-pretclinics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaringology, Genetics, Surgery, Intern Medicine, Infectious Diseases,
FOURTH YEAR-Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Radiology, Preventive Dentistry,
FIFTH YEAR-Implantology, Pediatric Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Restorative dentistry-clinics and Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Maxillofacial Surgery and Forensics Medicine.

After all of this exams,students become Doctor of Stomatology.

You can learn a lot of things,not only about dentistry,about life and the most important thing-you can grow up!!!
From first to fifth year we saw so many experiments, reactions, tests, met so many people with or without disease.After all of it I can say only this-HEALTH IS MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE AND PERSONS WHICH ARE HEALTHY ARE SO,SO HAPPY!!!!!

About dentistry-we learned to work with patients,to communicate with children,also we worked a bit of surgery and Restorative dentistry, Endodontics and of course Prosthodontics and Orthodontics(it's my favorite)!We worked with very good materials-composite and learned about innovations.I think it's enough for start!

Now you're thinking:"O God,they are only learning"! Well,it's not like that.This Faculty have his own student organization.They organize very,very good parties, sport competitions and also the different trips and excursions.o yeah,it was so good,I'd like again!:) And also you meet the persons which are going to be your friends for the rest of your life!

At the end,this is very hard School but when we finished I can say only one:"IT WAS THE MOST INTERESTING AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TIME IN MY LIFE"!

Ana Pejovic’ Biography:
Was born 10.05 1982.in Belgrade in Serbia.
Lived in Becej,small town at the north of the country,where I finished first and second school.
2001.I enrolled Faculty of Stomatolgy in Belgrade,University of Belgrade,Serbia,where I graduated 2007 in September.
Now,like rest of dentist in Serbia which graduated at the same time as I,I'm volunteer,one year,because it's the condition to past the Country test.After that I can work official as dentist.

Very ambitious person,which would like to continue education!
